History
Stoke City needed to win their final game to become Champions for the first time. They lost 1 - 2 against Sheffield United leaving Liverpool as Champions. It was still their highest League position.
Burnley were the 11th second level club to play in the FA Cup final.
The ball burst during the final as it had done the previous season - these are the only two occasions this has happened.
