History
Arsenal became the first London club to win the Championship. Their points total (66) would not be equalled until
1961. Second placed Aston Villa scored 128 goals, a top division record.
Blackpool made their top division debut and conceded a record 125 goals.
West Bromwich Albion became the first second level club since 1912 to win the FA Cup. The next would not occur until 1973. They also won promotion.
