FA Cup Final
Bolton Wanderers 2 West Ham United 0
History
Liverpool won the Championship after leading all season.
On 28 April 1923, only ten goals were scored in the ten league matches played. This is a record. All the goals were scored by home teams.
The FA Cup final was moved to the newly-built Wembley Stadium in a suburb of North London. It would remain here (apart from replays) until 2001. It was won by Bolton Wanderers winning their first trophy. Their opponents, West Ham United were the eighth second level club to appear in the Final.
