hi everyone,

I'm a telecom mobile engineer, and i realy enjoyed your site with all your statitistics and explainations. bravo !

what i wanted to know is if you had the same sort of site for european football leagues, i.e french, italian, spanish and german, and if you don't any links where i would find previous winners of cups and championships.

KryssTal Reply: Thanks for the comments. I have been thinking of extending the site for Europe but at the moment I'm too busy. You could try some of the links on my page or do a search for each country you need info for.

Kryss,

Found your address on the fa cup website, wonder if you can help with the following question I've been given as part of a charity quiz.

Q88 DO NOT THINK ITS EVER BEEN BEATEN AS A RECORD. BACK IN THE 1920'S, WHO APPEARED IN A FA CUP SEMI-FINAL (AS A PLAYER) WHEN HE WAS JUST 4 MONTHS SHORT OF HIS 50TH BIRTHDAY?

KryssTal Reply: I'd love to help but unfortunately my knowledge and interest is about clubs rather than players.

Greetings from Santa Barbara California

I am looking for the Manchester team photo from 1968 european cup and was wondering if you could help.

Thanks in advance

KryssTal Reply: There are two clubs in Manchester: Manchester City (who won the Championship in 1968) and Manchester United (who won the European Cup in 1968). Try the Manchester United web page or search for "Manchester United" on the net.

Good luck.

Great site, how about the same sort of stats for the world cup ?

KryssTal Reply: Not a bad idea - I'm busy updating my borrowed words site at present but I'll soon get around to it.

Loved the pages, excellent.

I have two suggestions which may or may not be useful but I found myself doing it whilst browsing your pages.

1. Under the European Trophies info an extra table showing how the top euro countries compare over all trophies would be interetsing.

2. A second idea was to add an extra column to the `Running total of trophies' page that showed how many trophies in total each team has and a colour code for the top three.

Keep up the good work.

KryssTal Reply: Looks good - I'm always looking to add more. I'll work on it.

Dear Football

We are doing some research - do you know where the 1872 cup final was played?

Thank in advance

KryssTal Reply: It was at The Oval. Wanderers beat Royal Engineers 1 - 0.

On your website your have stated that winners of all 3 European Competitions are listed in blue. You have listed in blue Ajax & Bayern Munich, which are correct. However there are 4 teams who have achieved victory in all 3 European competitions. The 2 you have omitted are Juventus and Barcelona.

KryssTal Reply: I have listed Juventus and Barcelona under the European Cup since they became triple winners when they won that trophy. Look on:

Hi Kryss,

I am doing research on association football history. Blackpool won a famous FA Cup victory in 1953 with a lot of help from Matthews. Who was the coach of that team? Thanks for any help you can provide.

KryssTal Reply: No idea I'm afraid. Try a search on Blackpool FC, there may be a club site.

In my last email I asked a Blackpool question only to find you are an Arsenal supporter. Here's an Arsenal question. Who were the midfielders and goalie for the league winning Arsenal team of 1930-31 that scored a record 127 goals and 66 points?

I'm doing historical research on another of teams as I design sports games as a non profit hobbie. Thanx for you previous response and any help you can provide.

KryssTal Reply: Sorry about the delay in responding - house hunting!

The 1931 Arsenal team was the first team from the south of England to win the championship. Their 66 points was a record until broken by Leeds in 1969. Their away points total (33) and away goals (60) were also records.

The stars of that side were Alex James, Cliff Bastin, Jack Lambert, David Jack and Joe Hulme.

I hope this helps.
