El Salvador
The government of the USA sends 10 Special Forces personnel to El Salvador to help
General Jose Alberto Medrano set up the Organizacion Democratica Nacionalista
(ORDEN). This is the first paramilitary death squad in that country.
For the next 30 years, members of the USA military and the CIA will help organize, train, and fund death squad
activity in El Salvador.
